Strategic Plan for the GHTA Project
(Posted July 1, 2007) With financial support from the Tourism Development Corporation, the Barbados Garrison Historical Consortium (BGHC) Inc. is embarking on the development of a Three-year Strategic Plan for the GHTA project.
The local company, Caribbean Catalyst Inc. has been contracted to facilitate the development of this document. The first major activity in this process is the hosting of a two-day retreat at the Barbados Yacht Club, July 5-6, 2007.With the far-reaching vision of the restoration and rehabilitation of the entire Garrison area to create a cohesive and stunning heritage site with a vibrant ongoing programme of activity in mind, we expect the participation of all our private and public sector stakeholders. The key objectives of the retreat are:
-
confirm the BGHC Inc.'s Vision, Mission and Values or Guiding Principles
- brainstorm on and select the associated programmes and strategic priorities in the short and medium terms; and
- develop objectives, measures and targets for the aforementioned strategic priorities, agree to accountabilities and develop action plans.
